Collins Vision is equipped with the Bausch & Lomb Victus femtosecond laser platform, which the surgical team uses for laser cataract surgery and bladeless LASIK. By replacing the previously manual steps in each of these procedures with computer-guided femtosecond laser technology, the Collins Vision team is able to provide an added layer of safety and precision to all of their laser procedures.
In addition, Collins Vision uses wavefront-guided excimer laser technology for LASIK and other laser vision correction procedures, such as Collins LaserVision. With the use of wavefront-guided imaging technology, Dr. Collins and his team are able to map the topography of each individual eye and diagnose even nearly imperceptible refractive errors, called higher-order aberrations. They use this information to calibrate the excimer laser used in several types of vision correction procedures, including LASIK, for highly accurate treatment and extremely precise visual outcomes.
