If you aren’t looking as youthful and rested as you’d like, rest assured, the experts at Collins Vision are here for you with the latest techniques and technology to help. At Collins Vision, we offer a unique approach to lower eyelid droopiness and puffiness that can restore a bright-eyed, youthful appearance. But first, a quick explainer.

WHAT IS BLEPHAROPLASTY?

The medical term for eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty is designed to correct the drooping or sagging skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids.

Blepharoplasty can:

Blepharoplasty is a delicate procedure. For this reason, it’s important to choose a trusted and experienced doctor. As a board-certified ophthalmologist who sees patients in our Naples and Fort Myers offices, Dr. Jason Friedrichs has extensive experience in these procedures.

WHAT IS THE MORPHEUS8?

Lower lid blepharoplasty is traditionally a surgical procedure. But in keeping with our commitment to offer the latest proven techniques and technologies for improved patient outcomes, Collins Vision is one of the few practices in Southwest Florida with the incredible technology to perform lower lid blepharoplasty non-surgically (in most cases).

“Using radiofrequency and laser capabilities, we are able to perform a lower blepharoplasty – a procedure that previously was only possible with surgery. This is a breakthrough innovation and will allow for patients to achieve the more youthful, rested look they desire but with a much faster recovery.”

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR  NON-SURGICAL BLEPHAROPLASTY?

The more birthdays we have celebrated, the more the skin and muscles of the eyelid can begin to sag and droop. As well, the fat that surrounds and cushions the eyeball can bulge forward through the skin of the lower lid.

If you can relate to any of the following, a Non-Surgical Lower Lid Blepharoplasty might be right for you:

WHAT ABOUT MY UPPER EYELIDS?

For some people, the concern is more about their upper eyelids feeling heavy or droopy. At Collins Vision, we offer two different types of eyelid surgery, upper and lower, addressing both functional and aesthetic concerns.

Functional Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty is designed to address upper eyelid droopiness that is significant enough to interfere with vision and daily tasks like reading and driving. It works by removing excess skin and fat hanging over the normal lid crease. An upper blepharoplasty cannot be performed non-surgically, but is often covered by insurance if the drooping is significant enough to impede vision.

The best way to know for sure which procedure is right for you is by scheduling a complimentary consultation with Dr. Friedrichs. He can evaluate your unique condition and recommend the right treatment option for you.
