We’re so thrilled to announce that Dr. Jason C. Friedrichs has been named Best Cataract Surgeon in Naples in the Community Choice Awards sponsored by the Naples Daily News. Truthfully, we already knew it, but it’s nice to have official confirmation!
Each year, the Naples Community’s Choice Awards recognizes over 480 businesses and organizations in the area, all thanks to community involvement. Completely driven by public participation, the program begins with nominations, and voting determines the finalists and winners in each category. Winners were announced at a special gala held at the Naples Grande Beach Resort on September 3.
“It means a lot to know that it is our patients and people in the communities we serve who took time to cast a vote in the Community Choice Awards,” said Dr. Friedrichs. “I’m so proud to be part of a passionate team that is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to every patient we serve.”
A Trusted Cataract Surgery Expert
Dr. Friedrichs is a board-certified ophthalmologist with residency training from the University of Iowa, which consistently ranks among the best ophthalmology training centers in the country by Ophthalmology Times and U.S. News & World Report. Dr. Friedrichs joined the Collins Vision team in 2020, became a partner in the practice in 2024, and is our primary physician and cataract surgeon at our Naples location.
His areas of expertise include refractive cataract surgery, an advanced procedure where the goal is to remove the cataract and reduce dependency on glasses at the same time by correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia with a premium intraocular lens.
