At Collins Vision, we are focused on providing an excellent patient experience every day of the year! We don’t wait for something like Patient Experience Week to roll out the red carpet around here! We want our patients to See the Difference every day with the vision they deserve.

From a first-time patient coming in for an eye exam to a post-op appointment for a cataract patient we have served for many years, our goal is to delight you with compassionate, comprehensive, memorable care. We want to exceed your expectations in every way, and for every patient we are honored to serve to See the Difference.

To spotlight the importance of patient experience, let’s hear from a few happy members of the Collins Vision family:

Penny’s Cataract Surgery

Penny had Refractive Cataract Surgery recently, and she couldn’t be happier with her experience! Penny was a little nervous about having cataract surgery, but from her initial consultation to testing, surgery day and post-op follow-up appointments, Penny felt completely comfortable.

“I am 61 years old. I have worn glasses since I was four years old and have had contacts since age 16. I recently had cataract surgery with the PanOptix Toric lens. My vision is now 20/20! I can see clearly now with no side effects. This has been a wonderful and amazing experience! Thank you, Dr. Collins, Dr. Rosen and the entire staff for caring about my eye health, for treating me with the utmost respect and for your patience with all my questions. Everyone I came in contact with was exceptional.”

Gillian’s LASIK Story

Gillian is an academic advisor at a local university in Southwest Florida. After thinking about having LASIK for a long time, she decided she was truly sick and tired of being limited by her glasses and contacts.

“Dr. Collins and his clinical team walked me through everything during the procedure, and that helped with my nervousness so much! After it was over, I remember standing up for the first time, and I could actually see the time on the wall clock! It’s the first thing I noticed, and I could see it immediately! I could see one of the nurses from afar and could recognize her face when I was walking out. Wow! I just had such a feeling of excitement in me because it was already happening; I could already see without my glasses and contacts.

Once I was all healed up, going to the beach was amazing. I’m a total beach bum, and before, I had to worry about water getting in my eyes, or my contacts falling out or just being super annoyed with my glasses. But when I went to the beach for the first time after having LASIK, I didn’t have to worry about any of that. I could see everything clearly, and I could get into the ocean without even thinking about it. I just remember thinking, ‘Wow. This is a totally worth it experience’.”

Lester’s Cataract Surgery

Les is a retired English teacher who lives half the year in Fort Myers, Florida (mostly on the golf course!). When it was time for cataract surgery, Les decided to have it at Collins Vision. He had Refractive Cataract Surgery with a premium lens in December of 2020, and he couldn’t be happier with his results.

“The surgery that Dr. Collins performed for me has had a profound impact on my golf game. No longer can I jokingly claim, ‘I hit the ball out of sight!’ Better still, I don’t pester my playing partners with questions like, ‘Did you see where the ball ended up?’ I’m now self-reliant and can see all my shots, both good and bad. I’m not sure I had vision this good when I was in my 40s. It’s just amazing!

Something else I really did like about my experience at Collins Vision was that it was like getting to work with the A-Team, where Dr. Collins is the quarterback. All team members know their job and do it exceptionally well. Every appointment was on time, and they respected my time. Lastly, I felt really confident knowing that Dr. Collins would be the one doing my surgery.”
